Okay, Okay, I'll blog!

One of our readers recently left a comment stating that our title was misleading. She did not feel as though she was getting the true Iowa experience, because we never blog. Well this is for you Ken!

Today, Matt called me from school around a quarter to 12. He just called to say hello. I made the mistake of asking him what he took to eat for lunch. He had taken a lunch, but the poor guy didn't want to eat it. I offered to come and rescue him. We went to the GREATEST sandwich shop ever! Jimmy John's ! I love it! Everything tastes fresh and they even deliver. Working nights at the hospital my coworkers and I have learned to appreciate any franchise that delivers after 10pm! I have loved everything I have tried there, but my absolute favorite is #9 or #5. They are very close to the same, but I don't feel any guilt when I eat the #5. We enjoyed the hour that we got to spend together. Unfortunately, I had to take him back to school. This afternoon, Matt has 2 pediatric patients scheduled and I have an appointment with the grocery store. Tomorrow, our ward is planning an EQ activity. I have to go to work but I will be sending Matt with a crockpot of chili and some cornbread. I practiced the recipe on him, Monday night. The activity is a pinewood derby! I'll send Matt with the camera. If he gets a good picture we will post it and the results. Matt did call 2 engineers to find out were he should put the majority of the weight. (Thanks Bry and Russ).

Maybe you won't be so thankful when you get our bill for Enginnering Consulting Fees. Hope it's worth it.

So ya'll are living the high life with your fancy Iowa restaurants eh? And you're calling in consultants to run a pinewood derby? I hope those aren't the poor little scouts you're racing. Otherwise, you have some serious power issues you need to work out. Seriously though, when did you say you're coming out? I have just been informed I'm planning a party so I'll get something going while you're hear. Take Care.

I had a Jimmy John's sandwich last month, and I thought it was the best sandwich I'd ever had. I need to go back - it was so good.
