Iowa State Fair

For the second year in a row, we attended the largest and most popular state fair in the country, or so we're told by Iowans. While we were there we met "Woldo" the 1199 lb hog and "Skinny" the 3000 lb cow. What a sight! (and smell). The most popular attraction each year is the life-sized cow carved out of butter. Accompanying him this year was butter Superman. Mmmm butter. This year's most popular food, although no Bryners partook, was the grilled pork chop on a stick. Comparing last year's fair to this year, Leticia said, "The Gyros tasted the same, but the fried cheese curds were slightly better". The highlight of the day was the free concert featuring Billy Currington. "He's a lot shorter than he looks on CMT", commented Matt.

I would have personally chosen the pork chop on a stick over fried cheese curds.
