Tailgating before the game is as important to Iowans as the actual game. This picture was taken in the dental school parking lot, very close to the stadium. The night before each home game the parking lot fills with RVs and buses in preparation for the next day.
A friend of ours gave us 2 tickets to yesterday's game. We were hoping for a big win against Western Michigan.
Our seats were on the twenty yard line, 64 rows up.

As you can see the hospital is directly across the street from the stadium.
Unfortunately Iowa couldn't pull off a win, but we had a great time cheering. As Cubs' fans in the area know, there's always next year. Go Hawkeyes!

Go Hawkeyes! Do you think they could beat the "Y"? I liked the tailgate party in the Dental School parking lot. When you guys become wealthy you will have to buy a motor home and go back for a game and park in that lot.
Great Pinewood Covered wagon. I sure the canvas top helped to streamline it so that you took 9th.
